Colin Howe B.A. in Biology from Middlebury College Colin studied the ecology of Lyme disease for his undergraduate thesis and later spent a year as a post-baccalaureate fellow at the NIH studying HIV vaccine strategies. In the Terns lab, Colin is characterizing the mechanism of action for anti-CRISPR proteins identified from hyperthermophilic mobile genetic elements. Tania Wilson Tania is a second-year undergraduate student majoring in Biochemistry, on the pre-medical track. Tania is from Griffin, Georgia and works as a student lab assistant for the Terns lab. Tania works to keep the lab well-stocked and organized, and strongly believes the skills she is obtaining in this lab will continue to serve her well in her future studies and beyond. Sandra Garrett Dr. Garrett is an Assistant Professor at the University of Connecticut. Sandy performs much of the high-throughput sequencing and downstream bioinformatic analyses for our lab projects. Her work has proved invaluable to many projects and we are so very grateful for her collaboration and input as part of our team.
